Google seems to be turning a blind eye to that fact that Demand Media are creating article and video content specificallly for google searches and not for Google users. Demand Media are reportedly creating up to 5000 articles per day containing content specifically for Google long tail searches which Google then pays millions for Google ads clicked on that content. Demand Media target smaller long tail searches and create unique content for those specific keywords, they then add Google Adwords to the page and collect revenue share from the Adword clicks.

So not only are Google the biggest suppliers of traffic, they seem to be giving Demand Media preferred positions based on something they have told we should not be doing, writing content for search engines…… also they are also the biggest winners on the revenue front… seems a little odd doesn’t it.

It does go to show that you cannot believe or more to the point tka eliterally what Google guideliines say, there is a fine line between writing content for search engine and writing relevant content for search engines… lets face it how can they really tell if your copoy makes sense?
